Bean Throwing Day ? “Setsubun” Marks the Start of Spring:)

“Setsubun” marks the start of Spring:)
Let the negative energies be thrown out with beans thrown at “oni” (means monsters that carries negative energies and bad luck) to rid of them and rather, invite in all happiness and positive energies; welcome all goodness into your hearts and homes:)

Tom Petty & the Heart Breakers?

Heartful graduation ceremony at Niroga for Yoga Therapy Teacher Training – 800 hours… Due to my trips and missing some modules, needing more hours so still on this journey but participated on this special day as …had to do my year-end presentation. Hope to share all this knowledge, techniques, methods and information with all those who seek something more to a regular general class.

“I won’t back down” was the song of choice sang by this power-duo:) One of Yoga Therapist faculty members, the super knowledgeable yogi, Baxter Bell, MD, the violinist and a very cool Perry, the Yoga Therapy graduate … on the guitar. They nailed it. We broke out into chorus with their lead …
Our hearts were pinned to that hope that there’s to be more healing, more unity and harmony in this world which currently feels quite divided along racial, economic and geographical divide …

Perhaps sometimes, self-inflicted,

Healing from insults to our body and mind
Healing from psychic and emotional pains
Healing from injustice, inequality and
Healing for all
to just …
get over our own selves
Why the heartbreaks?

Getting over ourselves,
Getting out of our own way,

To be open and accepting of all that is good
taken for granted all around us … the beauty and the miracles, the kindness
we fail to recognize.

No, I Won’t Back Down

[Verse 1]
Well, I won’t back down
No, I won’t back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won’t back down

[Verse 2]
No, I’ll stand my ground
Won’t be turned around
And I’ll keep this world from draggin’ me down
Gonna stand my ground
And I won’t back down

[Chorus]
I won’t back down
Hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out
I won’t back down
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won’t back down

[Verse 3]
Well I know what’s right
I got just one life
In a world that keeps on pushin’ me around
But I stand my ground
And I won’t back down

[Chorus]
I won’t back down
Hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out
I won’t back down
Hey, I will stand my ground
And I won’t back down
I won’t back down
Hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out
I won’t back down
Hey, I will stand my ground
And I won’t back down
No, I won’t back down

Very Berkeley/Oakland lyrics? What do you mean?
These yoga therapists are … one of the kind.
They are healers because – they won’t back down.
I really love the verse 2.
We want you to be strong and stand your ground.
You need your health; your balance; your strength.

Because … that’s right:

No, I’ll stand my ground
Won’t be turned around
And I’ll keep this world from draggin’ me down
Gonna stand my ground
And I won’t back down

***
Gratitude to the most dedicated and knowledgeable, Niroga faculty, and all the Yoga Therapy students who turns out to be incredible teachers of their own right, with vast knowledge and experience. Thank you for the privilege and honor to travel along on this journey. Maybe I won’t see you all physically once a month anymore (heartbreaking!) BUT my heart is now filled with gratitude to you all and will be with you all, always.
