Fascia Definition

This is a definition by Jill Miller … it’s six years old quote so may be in need of updating but basics never change – it is what it is and we need to keep them pliable and elastic and … moist:

Fascia is the fibrous and gelatinous bodywide web that forms the living seams, structures, protection and repair system for our body.  It is the soft tissue scaffolding that gives our body its form and shape.  It links muscular proteins and other connective tissues to one another.  In short, Fascia is the body’s aqueous knitting fabric.
