You know … said the teacher …
I feel genuine sadness for those people who cannot stay for
… savasana.
That’s where the integration happens.
While I prepare to leave for Japan – this last week … subbing for a lovely yogini – no way can I replicate her class so I am not even trying but sometimes it’s good to have a variety within the same style, right?
Yin class & vinyasa flow back to back Tuesday morning at a local gym… while I stress the fact that the suitcase/carry-on set that I thought to purchase this weekend were … sold out. Needing more time to pack because you see, whenever you see anyone Japanese, you must bear gifts… that’s how I was raised so time consuming.
Anyway, surprise – I am teaching vinyasa flow??? I can if I wanted to – there’s more opportunity as that’s the popular style – while it’s not my favorite, realized best not to get typecasted into limited styles this or that. Trying to be a multi-faceted yogini although I must say, I prefer the “other” kind of yoga, rather than the fitness class where we have minimal savasana.
Savasana represents the ripened fruits full of sweet nectar … if only you allow yourself to reach and pick them. Juicy and sweet.
What is it they say? Whatever the order.
Watch
Breath
Feel
Relax
Allow
It’s not about being busy.
It’s about … clarity and acceptance so that we can … let go.
