We imagine skyscrapers and Ginza shop lined streets and Shinjuku neon lights and Roppongi eateries but actually…

There are farms in Tokyo! That is, there are farms if there’s a will to till the soil and a plot of land to cultivate. I have the greatest respect for this teacher turned farmer ! Such perseverence to cultivate an empty lot and grow these produce all on her own. She is AMAZING !

There’s nothing more delicious than vine ripened and sweetened tomatoes to be sure – supermarket produce pales in comparison. To don these anti-bugs apparel under the hot sun to toil away – I have nothing but respect for my dearest C-chan! How does she do it?

Meeting ladies over lunch … all this beautifully presented lunch course in a beautiful setting – can you imagine can be had for a price of only a sandwich + drink in Silicon Valley dealing with ridiculous inflation.

Japanese people are so talented and work so hard every single day to put out the best in quality with their attention to details. Standard for gastronomic experience is so high as people see eating as 人生の楽しみ　…　food is no longer just a fuel but joy to enrich our senses, our lives.

I miss my people in Tokyo.
