Full Moon by Rousseau

IMG_7290

“Tonight’s full moon is called a supermoon because it can appear super-sized. That’s because its orbit is slightly closer to the Earth than usual.

According to NASA, the “super” in supermoon is used just because of its appearance of being closer to us.”

Defy gravity or surrender? We can find the harmony within as we look up at the night’s sky. Evening stroll after dinner last night – so BIG. So beautiful. So blessed.

Good falafel is hard to find? Here’s one with eggplants from Oasis Grill in San Francisco …Greek rice carts were everywhere in NYC… In Peninsula, I have no idea where people go to get falafel. Falafel is lovely for vegans… it’s all in a wrap.

No, I am not vegan… but starting a 22 day vegan challenge instead of a summer cleanse. Macrobiotic cooking… soba salad…brown rice and miso… very simple but so hard to resist the BBQ’s!

When asked what surprised him about humanity the most, the Dalai Lama replied:

“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

… putting things into perspective…Dalai Lama turns 79 today.
