do come true in vivid colors sometimes.I know I know – a true yogini is supposed to strike a pose here in some pretzel pose instead of running after a dog in a down-jacket (um…, 32 degrees Fahrenheit). It’s not a photo shoot – it’s just life. with a canine company. It’s called … Doga:) Yoga lived off the mat.
Please read “Living Your Yoga” by Judith H. Lasater – who I am proud to call an authentic soul, a true teacher to many.
Every Yoga Class becomes Therapeutic.

On answering questions on “hours” of training needed to be an effective teacher …and why she does not dispense certifications for 200 hours (so far I have probably done 200 hours with Judith … never added the numbers …enjoying every minute as to learn from a teacher of your choice is to be privileged.)
Answer: While I was involved in the initial talks on setting standards by credentialing, to me, 200 hours is a joke. I feel that you need to have at least a BA in Yogic Studies – equivalent to a University Degree; then Masters to teach other yoga teachers; then a PhD to conduct yoga therapy.
ohhhh…
In an ideal world … where going to college does not in debt students to a lifetime of debt repayment plan … where yoga teachers were actually able to make a decent living and be respected as a “real” healthcare professional in a world of alternative medicine. Working in collaboration with acupuncturists, chiropractors, herbalist, artists … Western & Eastern doctors … A Dream worth pursuing?
Yes:)
