Taeko-sensei in Tokyo. She’s holding up a book entitled Foundation of Aryuveda: Practice even beginner students and easily understand and put into practice.
She modeled for this wonderful book in Japanese titled “Basics of Ayurveda”. So really lovely to review again (to find out how little I know) Ayurveda… Lovely teacher – loved her sequence based on the principles of Ahimsa. I too hope to incorporate the wisdom of Ayurveda into my own heritage, then take it to the day to day for self-care. Ayurveda worked well in India and as an export to Japan or anywhere else in the world, it is adapted and modified in the land of its adoption.
This weekend was all about Ayurveda with Durga Leela, an amazing down to earth teacher of Ayurveda. She inspired me to take better care of myself so I may take better care of others with teachings infused with humor … so much laughter. So much learning. So glad to show up. Durga is another great teacher. So blessed to be in company of higher minds and spirits.
So much learned but basically, serve. Act by serving but for self-care, distance yourself from toxins including people with toxic minds and lifestyle.
