Divine Scent of the “Temple”

as described by tonight’s student …

So lovely to have you grace tonight’s class and how lucky we are for this gift of herbal, medicinal delight lovingly hand crafted by Yasuko, herself.  Thank you, Yasuko of Shastica:)

Gratitude Practice

Message to Self on my yoga practice tonight:

If you look too closely at the form, you miss the essence.

– Rumi

What can we acknowledge and be thankful for.  It need not be a big thing and many times it may not be about material possessions.  It would be as little as a smile of a baby; a flower blossoming … a beautiful moon peeking out of the clouds … how about pitter patter of rain drops:)  The blessings of water.  The liquid flow …of movements … The sound of rain when you have roof above you …  the texture of your puppy’s fur … a kind word; someone saying Thank You.

Just … thank you … makes the day worth living.

If you only say one prayer in a day, make it “Thank You”.

– Rumi

Thank you Rumi 🙂

Windy Flight

Super windy to the point of reaching that sensation of … flying.

Refreshed !

Super-Charged !!

***

A half-staffed flag to honor those high school students and teachers in Florida. How can America get great again when precious lives are not valued and protected and respected  …  are personal rights more important than … LIFE ?  What about the right to LIFE of the victims.  Right to safety and Right to be free of fears of violence to be unleashed.  Lives of students and teachers who could not live to their fullest life’s potentials because their lives were cut short … violently.  If we see ourselves in them, if each of us see ourselves mirrored and reflected in each other, we could be kinder, gentler and … greater.  Hope.

Beautiful where waves come crashing in where seagulls fly.  Perfect place for a dog chase?  Take time; find that ocean out there and … within you. Waves are crashing onto that vast beach and then receding back to the deeper waters to again swell and saturate.  Just watch and feel. Be Present.
