Beautiful People Yoga

All week in San Francisco assisting Judith Lasater’s Restorative Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Tree – what an honor being in her presence. This particular studio is right smack in the middle of Castro so will post the LOVE LOVE LOVE in the air. I can feel it!
The studio is packed with nearly 100? students and assistants … I thought it might be too much of a de-va-ju returning to this training week at the same place but not at all. ( I was there maybe 4 years ago? then to a different location for the advance course – so stepping into the studio brought back flash backs) It’s so FRESH each time as there’s even new and improved version to doing, teaching, learning. She’s an amazing teacher and I am honored to be in a team of beautiful ladies to assist:) Hope to share so this lovely practice spreads and more people will be … renewed to their true shining blissful self.

Next week – Tokyo…
last weekend, Lake Tahoe…
a “Wanderlust”? Actually, it’s more about just seeing people you want to see and yes, it can be a duty but no matter, it’s joy. Lucky to be able to see loved ones.
This week, I feel a bit of a vertigo … my inner ears are adjusting … from altitude of 8600 ft. to now … sea level.

Nothing like 20 minutes in THAT pose to get you balanced inside out. OM:)

Lady Gaga, on Setting Limits?

Soooo I don’t even like Lady Gaga but … rather enraptured by this idea … about this concept of being “limitless”; “boundless” and that does not have to be about performance art but about … maybe giving and accepting love; about loving Self and others unconditionally more – “we are our most terrifying monster and she’s not scared of herself” because “she trusts herself.” If only.

It’s not the kind of admiration I hold for people I want to be like nor do I aspire to live like them – no, it’s not that at all. Rather, just marveling as though you would some piece of over-the-top art form at a museum – you don’t want to take it home with you or anything – you don’t want to own it, no, not at all. BUT you learn from it. Something about human nature … beauty … truth in midst of the mud, so to speak, in the midst of the darkness, the ugliness, the distasteful or even just … ordinary. It’s become a cliche but to find the extraordinary in the ordinary… how?

Trying to find a little nugget of inspiration towards my New Moon intention of overcoming fears – to not hold back so much as coached by my “student”:)
No, that intention does not mean I am going to go bungee jumping or go out totally unguarded, “asking for it” this New Moon week – not at all – but it just means I say “YES” more rather than “no” to what comes to my door – means that we “surrender” our ego to the higher self by freeing ourselves from fears and anxieties we created for ourselves.

A lot of graduations this season – for some young adults, it might be intimidating to go off into the big wide world but trusting in Self and being receptive to the possibilities … full of dreams:) we have to be brave and face our own “monsters”, our self-imposed limitations and fears, in order to overcome them. When we are no longer terrified of our own shadows, then, only then the Universe will take of the rest:) Just surrender to that cosmic rhythm with a big exhale with a smile on your face:)
