Gratitude … but wishing for the good old days when we can pick up and go anywhere in the world, really, with no restrictions other than the ones placed on our own. Now, it’s a different matter. May we once again enjoy the freedom to travel to reunite with one’s loved ones near and far.

  • Frothy matcha latte made with oat milk
  • Wonder if the place spins some vinyls?
They were short handed with a line starting to form- so all the more appreciate this Barista! Me Being Japanese it’s lovely to see that this barista took the time to whip the matcha. Even Starbucks in Tokyo pulls out the pre-made carton. The traditional formality and protocols are blown away so a bit jarring if you saw this from the ceremonial tea tradition perspective of course but …
At the same time appreciating the adoption into the casual environment …where hipsters converge here, so far from Japan.

Who else will tell you the truth?

Armed with “unconditional love”, she is not afraid to tell you the uncomfortable truth ! She will continue if I should wince at the brutality of that truth. Yes truth hurts at times.

Yet another of my mother’s famous quote ! And I found out what resembles mother’s words are also out there in the Disney world … Surprised to be reminded of her little wisdom in … How’s Shrek for a True Friend:)

The Donkey:
Wow, only a true friend would be that truely honest.
