Be like Water

mysterious,

elusive to the grasping touch,

persistently gentle
in eroding the unyielding,
flexible in entering
where nothing solid can block
its curious searching,

Be Like Water

So mutably soft,
safe from harm
or being destroyed
in simply changing form
and returning again,
overtime,
overcoming the hard,

Steady drip, drip, drip
of resolute kindness
becoming a large lake of serenity,
a reservoir
where evil cannot enter,

Be like water,
flowing everywhere,
gushing, sometimes shooting,
aerated, slippery, and pure,
wherever,
containing a message of spiritual reverence
nourishing thirsty souls
with regenerating sustenance,
even in the midst
of world-wide sorrow,

Be like water,
with strength
so like the Tao,
you get it
by relaxing into the river,
and letting go.

What’s my point?  We are made from so much fluid – taking time to hold a pose allows solids/fluids to “settle” into your abode.  From a prezel contraction to straighten, lengthen and … there’s extension – allowing the rivers to flow … then erect a dam –  block the flow… then… unblock – the surge happens – continually.  Repeat – Soak in – Things happen. Integrate and find our true nature of wholeness.

Yes, been noticing so many “energetic” people … exhausted, adrenals shot, but UNABLE to relax…

Did you know it takes min. 20 minutes to regain para-sympathetic nervous system dominance?  In stark contrast, less than a second for the “flight or fright” sympathetic nervous system to kick in.  Makes sense from our primordial ancestral life style but have you noticed that lately, just lately …

you have not ran into tigers in the jungles ?

(just boss on power trips or road rage… maybe just as bad:)
