On the long road trip drive we saw dry patches of land with burned and blackened trees from the recent forest fires. From times immortal, there’s always been forest fires – it’s an integral part of ecological renewals- it’s part laws of nature… fires and scorched ashes and cleared lands provided some ecological benefits- hard to believe but true. It’s just that in the past us humans did not live so close to areas of dense forestation … how can we coexist for mutual… not mere existence and survival but to mutually thrive in harmony?
In contrast to some sights of dry burned patches of land, Portland is thematic in that, the place is all about the waters – starting with Columbia River running through… and waterfall themed parks, there’s rivers running through this land.
The sound of water is so purifying and cleansing to our senses, then drinking that spring water quenches the thirst we all feel in our souls.
Gratitude for this time out … for this freedom we had lost during the pandemic the plague and now … regained. Thank you to this Mother Earth.
