Time to order calendars for next year !

Beautiful Yantra by Chanti at www.yantrawisdom.com (time to order next year’s calendar!)

Today, as I was marking my calendar, I recieved a message from Ms. J. She just wrote “Just checking in to see how crazy your life is right now.” Thank you Thank you Friend for caring to check in. Here’s the antidote – words, words, words of beauty:

“It is a strange and wonderful fact to be here, walking around in a body, to have a whole world within you and a world at your fingertips outside you. It is an immense privilege, and it is incredible that humans manage to forget the miracle of being here. Rilke said, ‘Being here is so much,’ and it is uncanny how social reality can deaden and numb us so that the mystical wonder of our lives goes totally unnoticed. We are here. We are wildly and dangerously free.”

― John O’Donohue

“One of the reasons so many people are suffering from stress is not that they are doing stressful things but that they allow so little time for silence.”

― John O’Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

“A friend is someone who wishes what is good for the other.”

― John O’Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

So, in that recognition, thank you friend. Crazy indeed it is.

Celtic wisdom, Vedic, Ayurvedic Wisdom, Persian wisdom, Japanese wisdom, Chinese wisdom … wisdom is wisdom wherever it originates from, East – West, as everything crosses over. Honoring the distinct and unique origins while marveling at the common thread that ribbons around us dancing in an entropy swirling with rhythmic vibrations only to recognize that Source we share, the Oneness. The wise are the benefactors and we are all the beneficiaries of such treasure trove of wisdom. Bowing to the wise who restores the JOY in our hearts. Namaste:)

Amazing Workshop @Mt. Shasta coming up !

My lovely friend, founder of Shastina Herbal of Mt. Shasta, Y-san thought it would be so nice to spread the word on this rare visit by Andreas Lehmann and Miyuki Ninomiya, from Germany and Kyoto, Japan, respectively. They will be traveling to bring together a group of Lyre making students who will be spending the needed time to construct this musical instrument at the base of Mt. Shasta. Upon completion of this instrument, the couple will hold a weekend long workshop where guests and participants are treated to a symphony of Lyra and other sounds reputed to have healing qualities. It’s all about the energy of vibrations that reaches you at the cellular level. If this resonates with you –

if it SOUNDS like something that strikes a “chord” with you

🙂

and if you are looking for something special to treat yourself to Thanksgiving weekend … perhaps it’s not too late to contact her for a spot.

I WISH I could go – the fact that the instruments are to be constructed at Mt. Shasta is so enticing … If nothing holds you back, just go:)

Every Moment you live with Presence is like a

Big Bang.
– Dan Siegel, MD

fall8

Heard Dan Siegel’s fascinating lecture last night. Having missed him at Niroga Institute’s conference, this was a treat to attend this lecture put on by the local high school district.
While the talk was mainly on teenage brain, it was applicable to anyone – children, adolescents to adults as we all have a … brain. AND a … mind. Here is a link to his website and a video of an interview on the book called, Mind. It’s actually all YOGA (where’s the HEART?) but now with the science. Exploring the brain (the physical), mind and consciousness … vis-a-vis study of … TIME.

Fascinating.

Check out his video on the link I provided. It will bring you peace.
