Counter-Indications

Severe SI joint instability – incorporate muscle strengthening training first.

Severe Low Back problems – for those, see your yoga therapist for how to best modify and adapt the pose for your very own unique condition. Work with a PT who prescribes YT for after-care and maintenance. Please know that Yoga Therapists who are certified and licensed (insured) have insane excessive amount of training so not the same as yoga instructor. Yoga instructor, I am that too, is great but if you need a little more personalized CARE and someone to promote a practice that you can actually SUSTAIN and be sustained by, then, value age, wisdom and deep/extensive experience.

I say this as there’s a difference between ego-based or numbers-based yoga instructor who is gritting his/her teeth, commuting to various body workers for massage and chiro work or/and getting knees replacement surgery to those who is kind to one’s own body and know how to take care of that body temple with loving kindness – with an offering of a “challenge”. Healthy Challenge is a very good thing if done properly.

Wear and tear from Repetitive and intense motion injury happens to all humans. It’s about the healing process and wisdom based on movements to strengthen and balance with agility and flexibility restored.

When Yoga fails you – just dance and laugh. Then, try again.

the vibe @ 7000 ft. altitude above Lake Tahoe – what a high – and @100 ft altitude – the low – back in the Bay Area … how do we raise the energy returning to such mundane place of low stagnant energy stuck in stiff body and foggy mind, toxic emotions ? Mindfully connecting with our Flow within … living in reverence of the majestic and the beautiful … and then, for all that’s beyond our control.
