Things are tough, hard and rough these days so all the more we need beauty and … cuteness! Turn off the news except for the one hour in the morning; we don’t have to be on top of every breaking news – okay, there’s misery and grief and despair and while not turning our eyes from them; still manage to see the bright light among the darkness; deliver goodness and beauty to your neighbors or those who are alone and suffering – if not in person, by sending out good will – call them; text them; whatever and stay connected after that time-alone in the woods. Or out in the fields …
Christmas weath spotted on each window – wow how many are there?
What is this?
In my childhood learned these are JUNE flowers – it’s December now … so?
Okay, it’s a Pandemic & mom pushing a baby in stroller and … jogging … HUMBLED. Moms are TOUGH no matter how rough it gets!
This is more my state of being PRAYING for better days to come sooner
???
I had a terrible week guys … that ended in checking in with a MD remotely – no I don’t have Covid but feels like a truck ran over me … flattened and so fatigued …literally exhausted. BUT slowly recovering. Seems like I get into these energy depletion bad state of mind when I don’t practice yoga and other mindfulness lessons. We have to carve out the time just for yourself when there are so many distractions … and doing anything takes so much more effort and time – there’s a little flow chart in your head all the time with any action you take; our nervous system is screaming.
Back to the mat to calibrate that balance I lost. I am reaching for the tools and skills from years on training – it’s about fear – it’s about how to deal with anxieties and agitation of this current time by cultivating that CALM, the peace within during this turbulent times.
We all feel the anguish of not being able to see loved ones; We all feel terrified of pain and suffering and fear looms larger and darker with each news story; then that coping with the disappointments in cancelled and postponed events we so looked forward to … how do you feel? How is your energy? What’s on your mind? How does your body feel?
Even at a breaking point I have noticed how we are so resilient. We are going to bounce back from these adversities with action prayers and … compassion to others and … Self.
May you be Safe
May you be Well
May you be at Ease with Loving Kindness.
May we be Safe
May we be well
May we be at ease…
May we breathe steady and easy
May we allow that softness to envelope us and cradle us
May we love and be loved distanced but together in spirit… Namaste.
