{"id":18264,"date":"2017-08-27T10:15:12","date_gmt":"2017-08-27T17:15:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wagayoga.com\/blog\/?p=18264"},"modified":"2017-08-27T19:26:39","modified_gmt":"2017-08-28T02:26:39","slug":"presentations-presentations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wagayoga.com\/blog\/beautiful-places\/presentations-presentations\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentations, presentations &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wondering how I have dropped out of face of this earth?<br \/>\nWorking on case study presentation, monthly protocol, makeup work for the time I was in Boston, few other places and Japan, then &#8230; there&#8217;s the year-end presentation.<br \/>\nIf we are demanded 6 hours of work a week towards this certification, I have about 40 hours of makeup.  Shutter to think&#8230;and the irony of it all to scrape away at the sleep pattern to study and digest.  When I signed up for this program, little did I know that there&#8217;s so much afflictions in this world.  How grateful I should be that here, I am given the fully intact faculties to learn  &#8211; No challenges other than for this distracted mind and &#8230; that of time and energy which are the two variables we always must manage. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m presentation-ed out.  All this for a certification one does not know if it even gives you the means to make a living &#8230; but I guess it never was.  It&#8217;s not for making a living but appreciating the living. Caring for the living. So how does one procrastinate?  Facebook, Instagram (don&#8217;t do it but), Netflix &#8211; other interests abound.  In this modern world, there&#8217;s enough to keep you distracted and off the track when ego is in the forefront.  When all is performance, achievement based or money and ego-driven, there are many who lack the resilience to rise above.  What am I talking about? Lack of focus, distractions, disintegration of mind from body and lost souls.<\/p>\n<p>On a more practical everyday level, I was told from a client that she sensed divisiveness, separations and &#8230; this pervasive anxieties everywhere today.<\/p>\n<p>So when we have presentations, many have butterfly in their stomach &#8211; and it&#8217;s common and normal tension we all share &#8211; but for some &#8230;it&#8217;s all out anxieties and panic attacks. Sometimes it&#8217;s triggered by some trauma; sometimes it&#8217;s something else but it&#8217;s worth exploring a way to cope. <\/p>\n<p>I have experience from this as someone brilliant I know once was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder.  It was sad to see the brilliance be dimmed by this crippling ailment &#8230; SO I have learned from seeing how this young person, still developmental, transformed from that one of avoidance and running away to today&#8217;s courageous warrior who is not afraid, living the life envisioned with eyes fully open and all senses &#8211; receptive.  Fear no longer grips him.  How did that happen?<\/p>\n<p>Let me count the ways of how-to&#8217;s.  Tools the young and the developmental can freely utilize in their toolkit to overcome obstacles.  That obstacle oftentimes is oneself &#8211; the self. Whether it be low self-esteem or high-tension, or lost source-the self, all contributing to general anxieties in the day to day.  At the root, there&#8217;s fear. To conquer. <\/p>\n<p>I will be going over prescription for the common anxieties and stress as it relates to just Public Speaking &#038; Presentations in the next post as I have mastered it through trials and errors. To stand before you with authenticity and ease.  <\/p>\n<p>Ahh&#8230;I have to go back to work &#8211; till then.
