Connecting&#8230; Alert and connected without the hearing ability &#8211; Isn&#8217;t it amazing because &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Deafness does not define her.<\/p>\n<p>Wondering what kind of self-imposed weaknesses or &#8220;disability&#8221; we define and limit ourselves with?<br \/>\nBody image?<br \/>\nLanguage ?<br \/>\nLack of flexibility?<br \/>\nHyper flexibility?<br \/>\nAge?<\/p>\n<p>One does not have to just take the cards that are dealt to you &#8211; one is empowered to &#8220;change destiny&#8221;.  While I don&#8217;t have any opinions of SKii products (other than to see that no wonder they are so expensive with such glamorous ambassadors representing their products), I am inspired by some of these stories of tenacious women who overcame adversity. <\/p>\n<p>Sometimes in yoga, I do feel like I am in water but not in a way that isolates.  Rather, in a very pleasant way feeling like really turning into a creature of nature, going back in time to enter the realm of oneness  &#8211; swimming and floating in ease; sounds are muffled and hair swirling like seaweeds &#8211; it&#8217;s rather ethereal &#8230; like the time in Lake Tahoe crystal blue water &#8211; sooooo icy cold, you are fully AWAKE, seeing the brilliance of light streams running through water as strands of your hair runs freely through the crystalline waves &#8211; it&#8217;s exhilarating to be so consciously alert &#8211; It&#8217;s the same kind of feeling after a very good yoga class &#8211; light, refreshed and clear-headed &#8211; that&#8217;s the feeling I hope to share.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No, you are not &#8211; THIS is what it means: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wEsSelxH1yw No noise, no sounds &#8230; so isolating &#8230; Yet, picking up on the vibration, the sound-less sound, she harnesses that expressive energy.
