Our glands? Our ducts? Our blood vessels? Our body&#8217;s estimated 37 Trillion cells? On our leased to own then return option at end of life?<br \/>\nLiving in the physical world &#8230;desiring to feel &#8230; better.<\/p>\n<p>The endocrine system refers to network of glands within our body.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.khanacademy.org\/science\/health-and-medicine\/endocrine%20system\/Endocrine-system-introduction%20\/v\/endocrine-gland-hormone-review\">This is maybe boring but nice review:)<\/a><br \/>\nThese glands produce hormones, essential chemicals that bodily functions such as growth and metabolism relies on.<br \/>\nEndocrine diseases occur when glands produce insufficient amount of hormones.<\/p>\n<p>The endocrine system plays a major role in controlling the following:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Growth and development (for most women there are 3 major hormonal transitions &#8211; start of menstrual cycle; pregnancy; and menopause)<br \/>\n&#8211; Homeostasis (the internal balance of body systems)<br \/>\n&#8211; Metabolism (body energy management)<br \/>\n&#8211; Reproduction (huge hormonal surge for women)<br \/>\n&#8211; Response to stimuli (dealing with stress and injuries)<\/p>\n<p>The glands of the endocrine system are:<br \/>\nHypothalamus<br \/>\nPineal Gland &#8211; third eye<br \/>\nPituitary Gland<br \/>\nThyroid<br \/>\nParathyroid<br \/>\nThymus<br \/>\nAdrenal<br \/>\nPancreas<br \/>\nOvaries\/Testes <\/p>\n<p> What does yoga have anything to do with this?
