Check out this earlier post you might have missed…or revisit the archives. Today Judith shared the same squirrel photo on FB (knew she was psychic:) with a caption “We all want something” – So true! She always puts the message succinctly into a “nutshell”! So “LIKE”! or more like, “LOVE”!
THEN, as I drove HW101, I heard about Andrew Wyeth’s grandson’s latest exhibit in Boston. !!!???I had to take a double take – wait, it’s just what I turned my attention to in that post. Such a surprise. I had no idea when I stood before the referenced painting – I happened to be the only one there admiring it – some anomaly in time and space? Maybe because it was before all the hype… anyway, an interview of Jamie Wyeth gives you another glimpse into the world of this artist and his muse, Christina. FASCINATING!
Everything converges because we share. We are interconnected.
“Hide & Seek” by Pavel Tchelitchew, who once described his art as “a kind of science of metamorphosis… as magic which can transform any visible object into a whole series of other objects.”:
“Tchelitchew made extensive studies of plants and children. In Hide and Seek (1940–42; New York, MOMA), his most celebrated canvas, he related the seasons to procreation and growth, showing plant and human forms to be similar in their physical structures and purposes. Combining an interest in alchemy with the anatomical illustrations of the Flemish anatomist and physician Andreas Vesalius (1514–64), he showed the human body, with its veins and arteries, as transparent, in order to suggest the transcendence of the spirit over material substance.”

Amazing… so many people with those referenced “veins and arteries” clogged here – stuck in thought and in their ideas about “perfect” body image – “perfect” life – just focused on the superficial stuff – buffed muscles can only take you so much. Clogged, Stuck, Hardened, Dry and Brittle… help!! Unblock the barricades within and restore the natural abundance… Where’s the flexibility and fluidity? The BUOYANCY! (an apt word referenced by Bo Forbes a lot) Where’s the creative flow in thoughts, insights and ideas? Instead it’s an arid desert (NOT dessert:) sometimes. Me included so … we practice.
AHHHHhh, the rose…that single rose…if I could only transport myself to NYC again. I love the Big Apple! Yet, Californian Orange is not too bad either, I guess. Getting through the “drought” in outer and inner landscapes. No app to press – just this body and mind.
